March 07, 2013

Police are seeking two suspects after they used a gun and knife to rob Telus Mobility on Wednesday night.

Around 8:40 p.m., police say two suspects - one with a handgun, the other with a machete-style knife- entered Telus Mobility on Lansdowne Street West. They demanded employees hand over thousands of dollars in cellphones and tablets. After they received the items, they fled in a silver-coloured vehicle. Employees called 911 and police with its canine unit attempted to locate the suspects.

Total value of the theft is $70,000.

One suspect is described as male, black, 5-foot-6, slender build and was wearing a black bandana covering his face below the eyes, white Nike shoes with a black “swoosh,” cuffed jeans, dark jacket with zipper and dirty white gloves.

The second suspect is of unknown gender and age and was wearing a dark bandana covering the lower face and had dirty white gloves.
