Fire Safety Charges

The owner of a former plastics plant has been fined 60-thousand dollars.

Tim Little was charged after fire destroyed the plant at 400 Plastics Road last August.

The property had been used for illegal dumping of roofing materials.

Despite repeated warnings from the city and the fire department, the site was not cleaned up.

Dozens of fire fighters battled the blaze that destroyed the plant and caused 800 thousand dollars damage.

Little also owes the city millions in back taxes.
